Bits and pieces of local Dublin history seep into the Moss Reid novels, so you may be interested in this really neat idea involving the Dice Bar, the pub on the Red Line of the Luas, on the corner of Benburb Street and Queen Street in Dublin 7.

DiceBarRadio rocks. It rolls. It’s a series of podcasts about 1,000 years of the neighbourhood’s history. Each show is presented by Tommy Graham, editor of the splendid History Ireland magazine.

Check out this particular podcast in which Tommy interviews Donal Fallon from the “Come Here To Me” blog about his history tours of Dublin 7 that are being run during the St Patrick’s Day weekend. Each tour starts from the Dice Bar.
