Nowadays every second writer I bump into seems to be supplementing their meagre income by giving classes. Giving them to a new generation of would-be writers. In any other industry this would be called “flooding the labour market”, but us writers are a very generous bunch.

Despite being the shy and unteacherly (??) type, I thought I’d get in on the act. So here without further ado is a sneak preview of a rough draft of my first six courses. My designer says I should “try to target the Guardian reader type”, whatever that means…
